From early June until September 30, a call is open for buildings to become a Living Labs, a real test bench, for innovative façade technologies that contribute to the reduction of energy consumption in buildings.

We are looking for buildings that are planning rehabilitation where it would be possible to incorporate different innovative façade technologies to become healthy near-zero energy buildings (NZEB) and that can be Living Laboratories, in order to quantify the comfort and improvement in energy savings that results with the incorporation of these products.

The main advantages of participating in this call are that the innovative technologies would be installed free of charge and would remain in the building once the project is completed, a lower energy consumption of the building and the monitoring and assessment of the performance of the installed façade solutions. To apply to become a MEZeroE Living Lab, you have to fill in this form (deadline to apply is September 30). This task is part of MEZeroE, which is a European collaborative project under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program (grant no. 953157) that aims to develop and evaluate innovative façade technology solutions (nZEB), as well as to generate a platform for knowledge transfer and support to manufacturers of façade solutions to cover aspects ranging from product characterization support, to certification, testing, BIM object creation or product life cycle management.
