Three years ago we presented the SPEEDIER project, a highly innovative one-stop-shop solution that applies an integrated approach to energy management and that ended last November at the final event, an online session where the results of the project were presented with the collaboration of the energy efficiency initiatives DEESME, E2DRIVER, ICEE, INNOVEAS, SMEmPOWER and Triple-A q.

A closing with the creation of many resources and tools that respond to Article 8 of the European Directive on Energy Efficiency (DEE) which requires Member States to establish national incentives to help SMEs to carry out energy audits.

Thus, SPEEDIER has worked on three axes and has created the following results:

Axis 1: Energy expert support tool

• Online software (SPEEDIER Energy Expert Support Tool) that allows SPEEDIER experts to enter on-site data from energy audits and provide clients with savings measures that fit their needs through a web-based tool developed by our ITeC team.
• Interoperability Best Practice Guide developed jointly by TFC Research and Innovation Limited and ITeC designed to address the tool architecture, vocabulary and API implementation.
• SPEEDIER expert database that facilitates networking and connection with local companies.Axis 2: Training and education materials

• Resources and materials available to all on the importance of efficient energy management, economic benefits, etc.
• 6 teaching modules with kits for trainers available in 4 languages (English, Spanish, Italian and Romanian).
• Training for SPEEDIER trainers and experts
• Continuous training of trainers who will train future SPEEDIER experts.

Axis 3: SPEEDIER App

• Capacity building and awareness application for employees of organizations and the general public. This is the first step in energy saving and zero-cost Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) knowledge.
