In Report No. 26 of ITeC EOTA Office, a summary is done to know where we are now regarding the review of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR).

This section describes what have been happening, until now, since the possible review of the CPR was announced for the first time at the end of 2016 in the communication Clean Energy for all Europeans, only three years after it came into force in July 2013.

Regarding EOTA, in this Report No. 26 the appointment of a new EOTA president is also highlighted, which was elected during the EOTA 17th General Assembly meeting on 10th December 2020. Sebastian Wall is Karsten Kathage’s after completing the statutory maximum of four years.

Likewise, some important aspects of EOTA and the ETA route have been highlighted which have been gathered from an article published by EOTA before Mr. Karsten Kathage left the EOTA presidency. This article highlights that the ETA route is an integral part of the CPR acquis.

In addition, the Report also informs that ETAs issued by UK TABs after December 31st have lost their validity and cannot be used anymore for drawing up a DoP and for the CE marking of the products related to these ETA after the Brexit.

The Reports of ITeC EOTA Office regularly compile information – news with comments – and relevant documents issued at Europan level, based on EOTA meetings and documents circulated through this organisation.
